Who's it for?

Questions

Good to know before you order.

Not sure which knife? Send us a message and we'll help you choose.

How do I care for my Kiritsuke knife?

Wash it by hand and dry it straight away — this protects both the edge and the rosewood handle's finish. It is not dishwasher safe.

How often does it need sharpening?

High-carbon steel holds its 15° edge well, but regular honing between uses and an occasional pass on a whetstone will keep it performing at its best. Avoid pull-through sharpeners, which can wear the edge unevenly.

What shouldn't I cut with this knife?

Avoid cutting through bone or frozen food — the edge is optimised for clean slicing, not for impact against hard surfaces.

Is a Kiritsuke a good all-purpose knife?

Yes — it combines the reach of a chef's knife with a finer tip, making it a capable choice for slicing, chopping and precision work alike.

How fast is delivery?

UK delivery is free on every order, with no minimum spend. Orders are dispatched within 1–2 working days, then delivery takes 5–7 working days (6–9 working days in total). We currently deliver to UK addresses only. Knife orders travel on an age-verified, signature-on-delivery service, so someone aged 18 or over needs to be there with photo ID.

Can I return it?

Yes — you have 30 days from delivery to return an unused knife, plus the statutory 14-day right to cancel.
